This school will cover the physics of solar cells, from basics to advanced concepts, with a focus on material science. It will cover the fundamental principles and theoretical limits of solar cells. The structural, optical, transport
properties of materials will be reviewed and linked to the performances of devices, and the role of interfaces, defects, passivation, and nanostructures will be emphasized. Advanced characterization techniques and key challenges of materials will be
also detailed.
