Orientation and Surveillance Committee

The unit has an Orientation and Monitoring Committee composed of members of rights and invited members. Ex-officio members have a deliberative voice. They are represented by:
- The President of the UGA or his representative
- The Director of the Physics Institute of the CNRS or his representative
- The General Administrator of Grenoble INP or his representative
- The Director of Fundamental Research of the CEA or his representative
- The President of ENSL or his representative

Guest members with a consultative voice are:
- The General Director of Services of the UGA or his representative
- The CNRS Regional Delegate for DR11 or his representative
- The Director and Deputy Director of the Ecole de Physique des Houches
- The Administrative Manager of the Ecole de Physique des Houches

The Orientation and Surveillance Committee aims to validate the activity report of the UMS, proposed by the Director of the unit. It is convened by the President of the UGA, possibly at the request of another ex-officio member, as often as necessary and at least once a year. The Orientation and Surveillance Committee approves the unit budget proposed by the Director. The Orientation and Surveillance Committee appoints the members of the Scientific Council, on the proposal of the Scientific Council and the Director of the Unit. The Orientation and Surveillance Committee is informed of the scientific projects selected and the opinions issued by the Scientific Council. It validates the scientific program of the UMS. The Orientation and Surveillance Committee is chaired by the President of the UGA or his representative. The decisions of the Orientation and Surveillance Council are taken unanimously by the ex-officio members.
