Theoretical Aspects of Geophysical Flows and Wave Dynamics

Workshop
January 24, 2027 - January 29, 2027
This workshop will cover recent advances in the theoretical analysis of several related topics in fluid dynamics: geophysical flows, granular flows, and wave dynamics. The goal is to highlight common methods and encourage the exchange of ideas between these fields. It will bring together young and senior scientists from different disciplines, mostly mathematics, physics and oceanography. The workshop will take place in Les Houches School of Physics from January 25th to January 29th, 2027.
This workshop is organized jointly by the  ANR project BOURGEONS and the projects   CLIMATHS and COMPLEXFLOWS (PEPR Maths-Vives).

This session is organized by:
Anne-Laure DALIBARD, Laboratoire Jacques-Louis Lions - Sorbonne université
Evelyne MIOT, CNRS & Institut Fourier - Université Grenoble Alpes
Antoine VENAILLE, CNRS & Laboratoire de Physique - ENS de Lyon

More information can be found on the session's website.
