Open Call for international workshops, pre-doctoral school and lab retreat for 2027
 

L'Ecole de Physique des Houches is launching a call for workshop (5 days), lab retreat (2-3 days) and doctoral training (2 weeks) proposals for 2027.

In a magnificent alpine setting near Chamonix and a renovated infrastructure, the school hosts physics workshops lasting one or two weeks and doctoral training lasting  two weeks with up to 70 participants. All fields of physics are eligible. Scientific proposals must be submitted using the session proposal form (or direct download here) and sent to:houches-secretariat@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr and berengere.dubrulle@cea.fr 

before April 15th 2025.
 

Collaboration between Ecole de Physique des Houches and the WE-Heraeus Foundation  
Heraeus Fundation
The Ecole de Physique des Houches encourages to organize events jointly with the German Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation. There are two lines of funding: French-German WE-Heraeus Seminars, whose goal is in particular to bring the German and the French scientific community together and to foster collaborations between both. Funding is also available for general workshops or physics schools.  In any case the topic has to be in physics or in a closely related interdisciplinary field, at least one of the co-organisers has to be a German scientist or a scientist working at a German institution and a significant part of both the invited speakers and the participants have to be from the German scientific community.Funding will be provided by the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation. Please mark the corresponding box in the application form if you would like your activity to be considered for this.

Slots available for lab-retreats: 2027, Jan. 7-8; 2027,  Jan. 11-12, 13-15 and 2027, Nov. 8-10

Slots available for workshops: 2026, Aug. 30 - Sept. 04; 2026, Sept. 6 - 11 or any date in 2027

The list of sessions selected by the Scientific Council of the School will be available on May 31st 2025.
