It is with the greatest sadness that we learnt that Pr Stephen Hawking passed away on March 14, 2018. Pr Hawking attented the summer school on Black Holes in Les Houches in 1972. "There was an exciting period culminating in the Les Houches summer school in 1972 in which we solved most of the major problems in black hole." From "My brief History" Stephen Hawking, Bantam 2013
