Doctoral Training: Plasmas in Extreme Environments: from Astrophysics to the Laboratory => CANCELLED
Training session
May 24, 2021 - June 4, 2021
This school, the 6th session in a series organized at l'Ecole de Physique des Houches since 2011, is intended as a doctoral training program on plasma physics. It will cover the basics of the theory and simulation of plasmas. Space,
astrophysical as well as laboratory plasmas will be considered with a special emphasis on the timely topic of plasmas under extreme conditions as found e.g. in the interior of planets, in the most violent astrophysical environments, or created using
extreme-light lasers.
This Doctoral Training is organized by:
Mickael GRECH, Laboratoire d'Utilisation des Lasers Intenses, CNRS, Institut Polytechnique de Paris, France
Anna GRASSI, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, Stanford University, USA
Thomas GRISMAYER, GoLP/IPFN, Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisboa, Portugal
Vanina RECOULES, CEA/DAM/DIF, Saclay, France
Lorenzo SIRONI, Department of Astronomy, Columbia University, New York, USA
Susanna VERGANI, GEPI, Observatoire de Paris, France
More information can be found on the Doctoral Training's Website.
Unfortunately, due to the Current Health Crisis, this Session has been cancelled.
