Cécile DeWitt Partnership between UT Austin and France

The French Ambassador to the United States, Mr. Gérard Araud, and Mr. Dan Jaffe, Vice President of Research at the University of Texas at Austin signed in July 2017 a declaration of intent for the creation of the Cecile DeWitt fund of excellence to support collaborations between France and UT Austin
"The France-UT Austin Fund will be named the Dr. Cecile DeWitt-Morette Fund, in honor of the French physicist founder of the Ecole des Houches and professor at UT Austin from 1972 to 2017. Since its creation in 1951, the Ecole des Houches contributes to the international influence of French physics by hosting high-level scientific seminars to which nearly 50 Nobel Prizes have participated to date."
