Workshop
Interstellar Shocks
March 22, 2020 - March 27, 2020
Our goal is to provide a comprehensive view of the physics and chemistry of interstellar shocks and a detailed presentation of the multiple impacts they have on their environments (energetics, star formation, cosmic ray acceleration). The session includes lectures dedicated to the physical, thermal, and chemical processes at play, observations of shocks in galactic and extragalactic sources, as well as state-of-the-art models, and lab experiments. The lectures will be completed with hands-on sessions.
Session organized by:
Benjamin GODARD, LPENS & LERMA, Paris, France
Pierre GUILLARD, Institut d’Astrophysique de Paris, France
Antoine GUSDORF, LPENS & LERMA, Paris, France
